Commuters can access Edinburgh's Waverley Station without using steps from Princes Street for the first time in the busy rail hub's history.
New lifts were opened by Transport Minister Keith Brown, marking the completion of the 18-month Waverley Steps Improvement Project.
Two 16-person lifts take people from the roof of the Princes Mall into the station.
There is already a covered escalator at the Princes Street end.
