Planes grounded at San Antonio International Airport were directed away from the terminal buildings
The international airport in San Antonio, Texas, has evacuated passengers and begun searching its terminal buildings after a bomb threat.
Flights were placed on hold after what Reuters news agency reported as a "very specific threat" by phone.
The airport was evacuated by 14:35 (19:35 GMT) and officials have told people to stay away from the area.
An airport official could not confirm a local news report that three suspicious packages were being examined.
