Nigerian Journalist Wins 2012 WASH Media Award

Nigerian journalist Francis Odupute has picked up a prestigious media award for excellence in reporting on water, sanitation and hygiene-related (WASH) issues.
Odupute, aka Francodus, heads the Cartoon Section, Editorial Dept. of the Nigerian Observer Newspaper in Benin City, and initiated the African Press Cartoon Syndication Company in Nigeria.
Praising the six prize winners, Mr. Per Bertilsson of the Stockholm International Water Institute highlighted the importance of the WASH Awards in recognizing and promoting professional journalistic ingenuity in covering WASH stories.
